Paul, Deborah and David were very pleased to attend the ‘official’ opening of the Loughborough Building Society in The Nook on Wednesday 20th July.
The official ribbon cutting was carried out by Charnwood Borough Council, Deputy Mayor Margaret Smidowicz.

As we reported previously, the Examination of Charnwood's Local Plan had been adjourned by the Inspector, due to a significant change in circumstances to what was previously submitted to them.
The hearing sessions that were programmed from 12 July 2022 onwards were postponed.
We have received a formal registration confirming that Midland Classic will begin operation of the 125 service between Castle Donington - Leicester from the 1st of August.
The 125 was previously operated by Roberts.
It has been confirmed that the Examination of Charnwood's Local Plan has been adjourned by the Inspector.
This is due to a significant change in circumstances compared with the submitted Plan, regarding Leicester City's unmet housing need.

Platinum Jubilee Weekend
I started my Platinum Jubilee weekend with a walk up Beacon Hill on Thursday 2nd June to join the Chairman of Leicestershire County Council, as he lit the Beacon to start the chain reaction of beacon lighting throughout the county.

Paul handed over his chains of office to the new Mayor of Charnwood at the Charnwood Borough Council Annual meeting on 23rd May 2022.
Paul's mayoral charities for the year were Living Without Abuse and Marie Curie.
