I managed to have some time away and some time off during August. I spent 10 days in Manchester visiting my daughter. With the new ways of working, I was able to join meetings remotely from ‘up north’. I did pop back for a couple of days to say goodbye to a dear friend.
It’s nice to get back to some semblance of ‘normal’. I am starting to attend more meetings in Council offices and social events. The Covid-19 restrictions were lifted on 19th July. I know that for many people it will be a huge relief. I would however ask that you continue to take care.
Cllr Baines and Cllr Taylor will be holding an open-air public meeting on 4th August 2021 between 5.30pm and 7.00pm. We will be on the recreation ground, behind the Parish Office.
Charnwood Borough Council has launched a six-week consultation about its new Local Plan and vision for the area over the next 16 years.
