On Saturday 9th September Peter Bedford Prospective Parlimentary candidate for Mid Leicestershire constituency had the pleasure of attending Anstey Gala.
On what must have been one of the hottest days of the year, he enjoyed the local celebrations and chatted with local residents from across the area.
Showing him the delights Charnwood Borough Councillors, Paul Baines and Deborah Taylor, were thrilled to showcase so much that the community in Anstey offers.
Speaking after the event Peter said:
"This was my first time attending Anstey Gala and it certainly wont be my last. I was so impressed by the community spirit in the village and how everyone chips in!
I very much look forward to attending again next year."
Later in the day Peter joined Cllr Deborah Taylor to visit Swithland Vegetable & Flower Show and was impressed by the fundraising efforts of residents in aid of local charities!
