The Mayor, Cllr Paul Baines will be supporting one of his chosen charities Living Without Abuse at a Burns Night Supper to be held on 22nd January 2022
The event will be held at The Swan and Rushes, 21 The Rushes, Loughborough LE11 5BE.
There will be 3 courses of traditional Scottish food - meaning Haggis, Neeps and Tatties for the main! There will be alternatives available for those who don't want haggis, or are vegetarian. Dress code: lounge suits - though you're welcome to wear a kilt if you want to! What is Burns Night? It commemorates the life of the bard (poet) Robert Burns, who was born on January 25, 1759. The day also celebrates Burns' contribution to Scottish culture. His best known work is Auld Lang Syne (the New Years Eve song!).

Living Without Abuse
LWA - is a domestic and sexual abuse charity based in Loughborough, Leicestershire. They provide support to women, men and children affected by domestic abuse and/or sexual violence across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and can provide support to anyone experiencing or fearing violence or abuse from a partner, ex-partner or family member.
